We believe that the best way to make a decision about a school trip is to visit the venue yourself.
Watching us in action with a school group gives you the chance see just how much we can achieve with pupils – in terms of learning French, speaking French and gaining confidence in and motivation for the subject. It is with this in mind that we have organised a Summer Open House at our Château.
We are delighted to invite you and your family to come and stay with us from one night to up to a full week, during the school holidays - as our guests!
You can meet and talk to staff and pupils, tour the château and grounds, inspect our facilities, monitor lessons and even try some of the activities yourself. You can also use the château as a base to see the many sites of interest in the area.
If you are one of the many teachers already planning a holiday in France, why not call us to plan in a stay with us – or alternatively, please feel free to drop in for a day.
What will be on offer?
We will provide you and your family with a room on site, breakfasts, lunches and evening meals. Naturally, you will have access to our management team to discuss your school requirements, plus the chance to meet our animateurs. You will also have the opportunity to observe or maybe even participate in our activities. Plus you’ll get to meet all our animals at our popular animal farm.
What dates are available?
We have groups with us every week during this period that you can see us in action. We have spare en-suite adult and family rooms available for teacher inspections – however in some weeks the space is very limited, so please ring us early to book your stay, so you get the dates you wish.
How do I get there?
The château is located close to Avranches at the bottom of the Normandy peninsular. If you are travelling in France during the summer, it’s easy to call in en-route for a day or two.
Alternatively, we’ll be happy to pay 50% of your ferry costs (P&O Portsmouth to Le Havre afternoon crossings) if you are making the trip specifically for an inspection visit. All directions to the Château are posted on our website.
