Dear Teacher

I hope you are well and looking forward to Christmas!

As you may be aware we are in the process of making our website www.the-chateau.com a little more up to date and intuitive to use. This is, of course, very much a work in progress and will evolve over time.

One way to help the site change is to have a constant flow of new photography so we can integrate the images in to the website to keep it ‘alive and fresh’ and full of pupils / students having fun and learning!

We would also like to launch this new approach with a competition, and have enclosed an email summary which you may wish to pass on to your pupils.

We have a new galleries section with a new ‘submit’ function. We would like invite all members of your trip to add images of themselves and their friends at the Chateau, maybe some arty shots, maybe some local visits, maybe activities, maybe just having fun.

Each image should be accompanied by a caption – IN FRENCH! Our judging will be based not only on the artistic integrity of the pictures themselves, but how well the image AND the caption work together to ‘define the ethos’ of a trip to Normandy with our company!

The prize will be 12 months supply of French magazines from the following website www.info.presse.fr which we will ask the winner to choose themselves (with parental consent) and we will arrange delivery of to their UK address. There is no cash alternative. We hope that the prize offer a new dimension to their French learning.

We will soon also be launching a teachers competition – so please do look out for further information which will be coming in the new year
