L'Etoile de la Mer

 

L'Etoile de la Mer is a very peaceful centre located between Avranches and Granville in a small village on the coast called St Jean de Thomas.  This area is famous for being in the list of the 10 most beautiful kilometres in France. There are spectacular views over the bay and of Le Mont st Michel. The accommodation is in a very new 3 star building with all rooms modern and ensuite.

Both the first and second floor can accommodate upto 28 pupils and 2/3 adults and the 3rd floor has an additional 5 twin bedded roooms. There are classrooms and dining facilities and a field for ball games. As you are only 15 minutes from the Chateau and a km from the beach you can make the most of both the countryside and the seaside air.

La Mazure 

Set wihin an idylic woodland and lake settting, this centre has been attractively and tastefully developed as a group centre. It is located between Le Mont St Michel and St Hilaire du Hardcouet (which is famous for its Wednesday market) and it is approx 45 minutes from Chateau de la Baudonniere.

The facilities include a games room, a meeting room and disco hall and area for table tennis and classrooms. Activities such as canoeing and orienteering can be organised on site.

The 2 main accommodation blocks, the Pavillion de Lac and the Pavillion du Bois can both accommodate big groups of up to 56 plus teachers in multi-bedded rooms. Accompanying staff are housed in singles or twins. All rooms are en suite.  There is also a new gite next door which can accommodate 14 pupils + 2/3 adults.

Maison Familiale de Vains

This charming typical 19th century country house accommodation is located in a quiet and typical French village just 5 minutes from Avranches, and 15 minutes from Chateau de la Baudonniere and Le Mont St Michel. The environment is very safe and secure and our groups have sole occupancy. 

There is the main house which has classrooms and office facilities, an accommodation block, a separate classroom building and a building which houses the kitchen and dining room.  The accommodation is all very new with 10 pupils rooms of 4 or 5 beds which are all ensuite. Teachers are in singles or twin ensuite rooms. 

The food here is lovely and the chef used to work in famous restaurants in Paris and now organises fresh and homemade meals. A lovely French creperie is also 2 minutes walk away and we can organise a full meal there if you wish.

Les Forges

Located 1.2km from a pretty, white sandy beach facing the Channel Islands, the Château des Forges is located in the village of Gouville sur mer, about 10km from Coutances. With its 1.6 hectares , the Château offers a wide, safe, outside playground and can accommodate groups in sole occupancy.   

The Château has 76 beds split between 22 rooms. 60 guests can be accommodated on the 2 floors of the château with a sanitary block on each floor. There is also another building called  “les communs” with  16 beds (7 rooms/ 3 bathrooms ) located  just alongside of the building as part of the Chateau. All rooms are from 2 to 6 beds max.

The Château has great facilities including 2 dining rooms, 2 activities rooms and great grounds to organise outdoors activities.  It's a safe and fun place for camp fires and an ideal environment to discover the faune and the flore. Moreover a typical French crêperie is 2 minutes walk from the center.

PEP St Martin

Situated in a quiet and peaceful spot of Normandy countryside close to the seaside, this centre has a relaxing and secure feel to it. It has lots of space and facilities too, including 5 classrooms, large common room, volleyball, basketball and football pitches.

If you stay here, you will be allocated your own self contained area, but French school groups stay here too.

 

Home du Cotentin

Based in the lovely seaside resort of Agon-Coutainville, le Home du Cotentin is the perfect accommodation for groups wishing to combine town and seaside.

It's 50 metres from the beach and has 56 bedrooms of 2 to 4 beds. It also has wheelchair access rooms on the ground floor. The Home du Cotentin offers many facilities including 2 restaurant rooms, a bar, a mini library, some activity rooms and classrooms, but also has shops and markets at proximity.
