1. Caen, Les Marines

A few miles from Caen, in the heart of Normandy, this Centre is situated in Ouistreham just 100m from the famous landing beaches. This centre gives the opportunity not only to explore the Normandy Landing beaches but also the marine biology of the Normandy coastline. The centre is well placed for World War 2 visits, including the Pegasus Bridge and Museum (6km), and the Peace Memorial in Caen (15km). There is the opportunity to hear Leon Gautier talk about his experiences as he participated in the D-Day landings on the 4th June 1944. The centre accommodates up to 54 people, with en-suite rooms for teachers.
